Keep warm this winter with advice from SCARF & the Local Pension Service

SCARF(Save Cash and Reduce Fuel) is joining forces with The Local Pension Service in Moray at a drop in event in Elgin next week as part of Energy Advice Week.

Staff from SCARF will be giving energy advice at Dr Gray's Hospital foyer, Elgin on Wednesday 10 February between 10am and 12 noon.

Simultaneously, people aged 60 or over will be able to have benefit entitlement checks by the Local Pension Service in Moray.

Energy Adviser, Lynn Laing explains, "Householders in Moray who are struggling with high fuel bills should take advantage of this event. As the winter weather continues, we’ll be on hand with advice about how to keep warm this winter with information on insulation grants, heating systems, fuel tariffs and energy efficiency in the home."

Local Pension Service Liaison Manager, Sheila MacDonald, continues, "We have a small team based in Elgin and our main priority is to ensure that local pensioners get all the benefits they are entitled to. This is a good chance to have a chat with us in the hospital foyer and, if customers are entitled to extra help, we will arrange to see them privately, either in their own home or at one of our regular monthly Information Points".

No appointments are necessary. Customers should just drop in on the day.
