Moray coast and countryside ranger Doug Hawkes will lead an autumnal stroll through the Quarrelwood on the outskirts of Elgin on Sunday (Oct 12).

As the leaves change colour and squirrels begin hoarding food for the long winter ahead, the sound of woodland birds is accentuated in the still air.

Walkers should meet at the Brumley Brae car park off Morriston Road at 2pm. The event will last approximately two hours.
