The Scottish Parliament has introduced the Scottish Schools (Parental Involvement) Act 2006. The Act aims to modernise and
strengthen the the framework for supporting parental involvement in school education, and to help parents/carers be:
- involved with their child's education and learning - welcomed as active participants in the life of the school - encouraged to express their views and to work in partnership with the school The Head Teacher will be able to provide further information about the school's parent Council
