The Local Heritage Centre for Moray offers a fascinating insight to Moray's history and to ancestry searches.

The Centre is based within the old East End School, Institution Road, Elgin, IV30 1RP.

Photocopier, free internet access and microfilm printer services are available and a search service can be provided.

All libraries have local history books for borrowing and a file of local historical information for reference.

Buckie, Forres and Keith libraries have copies of local newspapers, parish and census records, collections of maps and a small collection of photographs.

The Local Heritage Website includes LIBINDX the on-line index of People, Places and Subjects, examples from the collection and guidance for ancestry searches.
