The Building Standards Service in Moray is part of the Development Services Division of the Environmental Services Department of the Moray Council.
The section comprises of a Building Standards Manager, Principal Building Standards Officer, 11 Building Standards Officers and a trainee.
Building Standards Officers are based at the Council Offices, High Street, Elgin and in the area offices located within Forres and Keith.
We deal with an average of 1,850 applications for Building Warrant, 1300 Completion Certificate submissions and around 2,500 general enquiries each year.
