Building Standards Service

The Building Standards Service in Moray is part of the Development Services Division of the Environmental Services Department of the Moray Council.

The section comprises of a Building Standards Manager, Principal Building Standards Officer and 11 Building Standards Officers.

Building Standards Officers are based at the Council Offices, High Street, Elgin and in the area offices at Forres and Keith.

We deal with an average of 1,850 applications for Building Warrants, 1300 applications for Certificates of Completion and around 2,500 general enquiries each year.
