Letter of Comfort

This service is aimed at providing confirmation that no enforcement action will be considered in situations where:

a) it is established that work has been carried out to a property without a Building Warrant having been obtained or

b) although a Building Warrant may have been approved for the work, a Completion Certificate was not obtained.

These services are non statutory and are carried out subject to the payment of a fee aimed to offset the cost of providing the service

Please note however that in cases where work has been carried out without a Building Warrant having been obtained the service is only considered if the work was undertaken in excess of 10 years prior to the   application for the Letter of Comfort   being made.
