Fisheries - Blairs

Loch of Blairs

Loch of Blairs is an easily accessible loch situated 2½ miles south of Forres in the A940 Grantown Road.

Although principally a rainbow trout fishery, with regular stockings taking place throughout the season, brown trout are regularly accounted for.  A summer evening on the loch may give anglers an opportunity to watch a master fisher in action – the Osprey, who treats our regulations with some contempt.

The fishery is located in a private estate and is leased by The Moray Council. Vehicle owners enter the private ground at their own risk.

The Council welcome comment on the fishery, but disputes or complaints should be directed to the Environmental Services Department, not  the permit agent.
