This guidance is for the operation of the Council’s committee structure.

It is consistent with the provisions of the Council’s Standing Orders, and it aims to provide more detailed guidance, particularly in areas where Standing Orders are not prescriptive.  The guidance is primarily aimed at Directors, Heads of Service and Committee Services Officers. However it is intended to be a public document and is available to other staff and the public as required via the Council’s web-site.
