Household waste (non-hazardous), car & trailer loads or car derived vanloads accepted free of charge.
Commercial Waste (Non-hazardous)
Small quantities i.e. small vans and trailers accepted when accompanied by Waste Transfer Note. When arisings not generated at their own yard, they should be a Registered Waste Carrier (refer to S.E.P.A. Tel 01343 547663). Charged by vehicle capacity as per ready reckoner or customer produced weigh ticket dated same day.
Asbestos Roof Sheeting (from Householders only)
Small quantities can be received by arrangement at the Waste Treatment Plant, Moycroft Road, Elgin, to allow repair/renewal of garage roofs. Reference sheet provided. Please telephone the Site Office in advance to arrange a delivery date/time: 01343 563382 or 07967 748970.
Note: For large quantities and commercials please contact Northern Asbestos Ltd (01343 552650) or Northern Janitorials (01343 546249). Nearest disposal site is SITA’s Binn Landfill, Perth (01577 830700).
Householders: Small quantities (car derived van/trailers) accepted. Please remember to separate materials at source i.e. rubble and clean timber in order that they can be put into the appropriate container for recycling.
Commercials: Small loads of segregated material can continue to be accepted at Forres, Buckie and Keith Civic Amenity Sites with an appropriate charge.
Commercials should be reminded of the need to segregate rubble and timber, which they should take direct to Limehillock Quarry Plants’ sites for recycling. Savings of up to £16/tonne achieved and waste diverted from landfill. Tel: 01542 870291. (Blackhillock, Keith/Netherglen on Elgin/Rothes Road).

Green Waste, Grass Cuttings, Prunings and Branches
Up to 75mm (3-inch) diameter accepted free of charge. Larger commercial materials unsuitable for shredding charged as waste per ready reckoner.
Small quantities (car derived van/trailer) accepted from householders and commercials. Charged as per Ready Reckoner. Larger loads only accepted at Landfill Site. Charged by attendant depending on suitability as cover/reinstatement material.
Large loads cannot be received at Civic Amenity Sites.
Householders can dispose of car batteries in the recycling containers provided at Recycling Centres. Garages and commercials under their duty of care should be advised to contact:

Commercial Vegetable Cooking Oil

Derived from domestic premises accepted free of charge. Commercials charged as per ready reckoner with exception of fridges, which are to be charged at unit, rate applicable at time. Waste Transfer Note required from Commercial.
Recycling containers can be used by Householders and Commercials for domestic quantities.
Commercial vehicles larger than a car derived van can only be received at the Baling Shed, Moycroft Road, Elgin.
