Most of our tenants have a Scottish secure tenancy agreement. This is a new type of tenancy created by the Housing (Scotland) Act 2001.
We will explain to you what your rights and responsibilities are when you sign your tenancy agreement.
What are your Responsibilities?
Your responsibilities, which are contained in your tenancy agreement, include the following:
You must move into your house, furnish it and use it as your only or main home.
You are entitled to have members of your family living in the house with you, as long as this does not lead to overcrowding. When we ask, you must tell us who is living in the house. You must tell us as soon as there is any change in the people who are living in your house.
