The Chief Executive Department provides liason between, direction and control over Council Departments to ensure implementation of Council decisions, policies and guides the Best Value process. The Chief Executive has ultimate responsibility for the Council's delivery of services and provides advice and support to individual Councillors and the Council as a whole and, where appropriate, represents the Council locally and nationally.
