About the service
Towerview, located in the centre of Forres, provides a day service for adults with a learning disability. The Service aims
to provide individuals with the opportunity to participate in a wide range of social, leisure and therapeutic activities and
also to develop skills for daily living.
Towerview has a small staff team who are committed to providing a flexible service based on the principles of choice, respect,
integration and equality.

The service at Towerview is enhanced by input from the Community Learning Disability Team (CLDT). CLDT members provide guidance in areas such as Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Psychology.
Assistance with transport to and from Towerview may be provided by arrangement.
Each service user at Towerview is allocated a key worker who will oversee their care plan and support them to develop their day service programme.
Lunch and drinks are provided at Towerview for a minimal daily charge. Alternatively service users can bring their own lunch if preferred.
The service is available to people over the age of 16 who have a learning disability and are assessed as requiring this type of support.
A referral has to be made through the Local Area Co-ordinator/Community Care Officer, who will then carry out an assessment of needs.
The Local Area Co-ordinator/Community Care Officer for the Forres area is based at Towerview.
