Young people aged 11 – 25 years old can opt for their Access Moray card to carry the ‘Proof of Age Standards Scheme – PASS hologram. This is your guarantee that the card is a genuine proof of age card. You should always ‘ASK FOR PASS’. Don’t accept a proof of age card without the PASS hologram.
Trading Standards recommend a 5 step process for confirming card information.
Step 1 – Check the PASS hologram
Step 2 – Check the photograph
Step 3 – Check the date of birth
Step 4 – Check the card – has it been tampered with?
Step 5 – Check the person – if unsure about their age you should refuse the sale.
