Project Description

The original proposal focused upon the provision of a synthetic turf pitch within the playing fields at Westerton Road, Keith and would be jointly led by the Trust and the Council. | ||

Present Status
|
Although the Trust were originally the lead applicant, changes to Sportscotland grant guidelines now mean that the chances of securing match funding are increased if the Council is the lead applicant. As part of the School Estates Capital Bid (Feb 2006), Council has consequently approved the provision of a synthetic turf pitch and associated changing accommodation as part of the programme to up-grade Keith Grammar School (2006-2009). The project nevertheless remains a community initiative and access by the community is a key requirement for both the Leisure and Healthy Living Programme and Sportscotland. The Leisure and Healthy Living Programme will therefore undertake to ensure that the aspirations of Keith and District Sports Trust and Keith Grammar School are integral to this project. |
