The Moray Local Transport Strategy 2001 was approved by the Moray Council on 28 March 2001. It supercedes the Council's Interim Local Transport Strategy approved on 28 July 1999. The Local Transport Strategy 2001 has built upon the Interim Strategy through consultation with a wide variety of interests. The consultation included public and business questionnaire surveys and workshops with the key interest groups.

Local Transport Strategy

The Strategy has been developed in response to the Scottish Executive White Paper 'Travel Choices For Scotland' published in July 1998. It acknowledges the vital role that transport has to play in developing the economic and social well-being of Moray. It also recognises the need for support in delivering the strategy by the UK and Scottish Parliaments, Government Agencies, transport companies, business and the general public.

Strategy is available online and presented in Main Document and Appendices .
