Our Aim                                      We will continually seek to improve the way in which we operate in order to deliver best value and quality services to the community.  We will address barriers to business by consulting and operating effective procurement practices that ensure a varied and competitive marketplace for business organisations of all sizes.

We are committed to improving fairness and transparency in the way we procure and we recognise the need to simplify and standardise our processes to ensure consistency and to help minimise costs to suppliers.

The Moray Procurement Initiative is a package of projects designed to provide and co-ordinate improvements to the Council’s procurement processes.

Supplier Information

It is important to us that we keep suppliers informed and advised of any procurement developments that may affect the way in which we do business with them.  We have developed a communication plan, a suppliers newsletter is being sent out to suppliers on a monthly basis with new procurement developments.  All newsletters will be available to see above on this page.

The National Procurement Centre of Expertise, was officially launched on the 6th March 2008, you will find all their updates and information on their website Procurement Scotland.  They will be delivering Innovation and Savings through Procurement.
