Our policy is:
The Council has very few systems that currently fail the Scottish Housing Quality Standard and will continue with the current policy until such time as the systems fall within the recommended replacement lifecycles laid out within the Scottish Housing Quality Standard. The Council has recently installed heating systems incorporating renewable technologies such as air and ground source heat pumps. These installations will be monitored over time to decide whether they can be offered on a larger scale in areas where mains gas is not available.
This list shows where heating systems will be upgraded in 2008/9 and 2009/10. For a printable version click here. It is difficult for us to be sure where we will be able to upgrade heating systems in future years.
