Background/Proposals
The kiosk and store are offered for the sale of ice cream and confectionery in Grant Park, Forres. The Council no longer requires
the adjacent changing pavilion and it is also available for lease.
The Council would seek proposals to include the sale of ice cream and confectionery from the premises. The Council would grant to the tenant exclusive rights for the public sale of ice cream and all refreshments in Grant Park.
The former changing pavilion is considered to have potential for conversion to a complimentary café/dining area or other park-related uses. Applicants would be responsible for obtaining any necessary consents/approvals required for their proposed use.
Services
It is understood that the properties are served by mains electricity, water and drainage systems. Tenants are required to
satisfy themselves as to the condition and suitability of all services.
Planning
Any proposals to change the use of the premises may require consent for a change of use in terms of both Planning and Building
Control legislation, which the applicants must obtain themselves. Similarly any proposals to alter or extend the buildings
may require Planning Consent and Building Warrant, which the applicants must obtain themselves.
It should be clearly noted that the above advice is purely for guidance and is entirely without prejudice to consideration
of formal applications for Planning Consent and/or Building Warrant by the Moray Council.
