Note: An additional In-Service day for sessions 2008/09, 2009/10 and 2010/11 has been granted to all schools in Scotland by Fiona
Hyslop, MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Education. The reason for these additional days is to allow more time for staff in schools
to work on development related to the implementation of Curriculum for Excellence which is intended to further improve the
educational experience and life chances of children and young people throughout Scotland.
