Braw Braw Lads

Evenings with the Corries.Evenings with the Corries.

Corries concerts involved stirring the audience up with a cry of "Gie it laldie, the roof is insured". There were concerts where Ronnie and Roy never sang for the first ten minutes of the show, letting the audience take over. From The USA Tour 1976.

Rousing songs would be followed by a hush while a quiet ballad was sung. Their repertoire ranged from songs like "The Lass O'Fyvie" to ballads like the "Tiree A Corries Programme.Love Song". Jacobite songs such as "Cam' ye o'er frae France", "News from Moidart" and "Ye Jacobites", formed a major part of the show.

There was also a great deal of dry humour. An evening with the Corries would leave the audience exhilarated and eagerly anticipating the next year's tour.
